A classified mission. Highly sensitive cargo. Multiple delivery sites, across rough terrains, dense forests and remote locations. And you need synchronised delivery of the cargo to each of these sites. Sounds impossible? Well, that’s what we did for the Indian Defence. 

A highly specialised Defence Logistics Project involved delivering industrial material to 45 sites within India and its territorial islands, to secure the nation’s boundaries. All at the same time. As an opportunity to leverage our end-to-end supply chain solutions, we navigated this new challenge with an integrated, 360 degree solution.

Our team adopted multimodal transportation, warehousing, custom clearance and innovative value-added service solutions to execute this $20 million high-value cargo shipment for the Defence Services. With intense planning to mitigate security concerns, the cargo was escorted under surveillance to ensure the safety of our personnel and equipment.

The challenge of moving multifaceted cargo using scalable solutions via inland waterway barges, land, and sea involved holistic project management at all stages. Careful supervision and precision were required to operate hydra cranes and forklifts at destination sites to offload containers and materials, fabricate storage facility at sites as required, and make arrangements for onsite storage between 90 to 180 days with reverse logistics enabling the return of empty equipment.
