Powering an entire city is no mean feat. It requires gumption, resources and the right partners. Be it a small village in Africa, a township in New Zealand or a city in Europe. So when you have to get a really large shipment across a country where the bridges have an 18 foot height restriction, you need a logistics partner who can get creative to get things done.
When tasked with transporting a 22 foot generator from Bengaluru to a port in Mumbai, before making its way to Oslo, Norway, we had to think out of the box. Since we couldn’t fit the generator via conventional routes, we went back to the drawing board to find multiple routes to make this possible. With the right permissions, we moved the shipment via road by breaking railway tracks and having the vehicle drive through them. We got the generator from Bengaluru to Mumbai in a record 24 days. That’s how we got things done to help power the city of Oslo.
